He served in the U.S. Army at Utah Beach in the Normandy Invasion during WWII. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Palmer). Loving father of May Halter (Frank), Kim Hamm (Tom), Anthony (Debbie), and the late Rosemarie Stevens and Ralph J., Jr. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 brothers Douglas and John, 1 sister Suzanne, and many nieces and nephews.
