Obituary

Ramona M. Pinto (nee Wisniewski) Suddenly Sept. 28, 2017. Beloved wife of Gene. Loving mother of Gregory Pinto (Dawn) and Amy Kingsmill (Joe). Loving Babcia of Nicholas and Derek Pinto. Dear sister of Richard Wisniewski (Ellen), and sister-in-law of Juliann Pinto, Elizabeth Ritchey, Theresa Pinto (Edward) and Vincent Pinto. Aunt to Richard Wisniewski Jr. (MaryAnne) and Kate Ball (Erik); Julia Rosati (Ron), Joseph Clark (Emilia), Paul Ritchey (Jen), Ryan Ritchey (Shannon), Nina Ritchey and Nicole Ritchey. Great aunt of Madeline, Andrew, and Abigail Ball; Isabella and Margaret Wisniewski; Emma, Angie and Ron Rosati; Victoria and Joseph Clark.

Ramona grew up in the Harrowgate section of Philadelphia where her parents owned and ran a local tap room called Harrowgate Tavern. She attended St. Joan of Arc grade school. Upon finishing St Joan's, Ramona attended her beloved Little Flower High School for Girls, Class of 1965. She was always a proud supporter of her Alma Mater.

In the summer of 1969, Ramona met her true love, Gene Pinto. They were engaged in 1971 and wed on September 23, 1972. They welcomed their son Gregory in 1974 and their daughter, Amy, was born 3 years later in 1977.

Through the gift of marriage, Ramona's family grew. She gained 4 sister-in-laws; Ellen, Julie, Betty and Theresa. Also, she gained a brother-in-law, Vincent. She never thought them as in-laws. To her, they were her sisters and brother.

Ramona was excited when her children were married. In 2003 she welcomed Dawn into the family as her daughter. A few years later, Joe became her son. She loved having her large family over for dinner and holidays.

Through the years, Ramona worked in the banking industry as a teller, a mortgage clerk, and a customer service representative. But her favorite job was being a grandmother "Babcia" to Nicholas and Derek. She cherished every minute that she spent with them. Her grandsons were the center of her world.
