Rebecca E. Rose (nee Smith) passed away January 18, 2011 at her residence in Cinnaminson at the age of 82. Her husband, Dwain B. Rose passed away 13 days later on January 31 at Genesis North Cape Center in Cape May, NJ at the age of 82. Mr. Rose was founder and president of Karen Frock, Inc., manufacturer of ladies apparel. Mr. Rose began working as a stock boy in the garment industry at age 21 in New Jersey and worked his way up to manager in a plant in Philadelphia. He lived in Palmyra and Cinnaminson for 40 years. At the age of 39 he went into business for himself manufacturing ladies dresses and sportswear until he retired in 1958. In 1949 he joined New Jersey National Guard and rose to the rank of Master Sergeant. Mr. Rose loved music and played in a rock and roll band called "The Highlights." They played in clubs in NJ and Philadelphia, private parties and fraternities in Princeton. He loved boating; He and his wife would entertain friends and family on their 60' yacht. Mr. and Mrs. Rose are survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as Mrs. Rose's 3 brothers.
