An Army Veteran of WWII 9th Infantry Division, he is the recipient of the Bronze Star and 2 Purple Hearts, he is also a retired civil engineer from the City of Philadelphia. Beloved husband of Mary Jane (nee Donahue); he is the devoted father of Carol Starr, Jeanne Carroll (James), Deborah Monaghan (Charles), Richard, Barbara Starr-Junod (Stephen) and Karen Horton (Thomas), dear pop pop of 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brother of the late Benjamin Starr and Ruth Bearden. Relatives and friends are invited to Call Saturday 9 A.M. at Grace Bible Church, 8950 Ashton Road, Phila, PA 19136 followed by his Service 10:30 A.M. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
