Richard F. Woodford "Woody" passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side at the age of 89. Richard was the beloved husband of Alice R. Woodford, loving father of Richard F. Woodford, Jr. (Charlene), Patricia A. Smith (Joseph), William P. Woodford (Mary), and adored grandfather of Alexander, Victoria, and Richard C. He is also survived by his brother Michael Woodford (Delores) and many loving nieces and nephews.

Richard was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School (Class of 1952) and was a veteran of the US Army. Richard was an Electrician in Shop 52 employed by the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for 50 years, where he received many awards for his service. Upon his retirement from the Naval Shipyard, he then worked for an additional 15 years as an employee at Global Associates. He was a dedicated, hardworking man who served his family and his country well throughout his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday February 1, 2024, at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Luncheon to follow.
