Obituary

Robert J. Cariola, age 80, unexpectedly passed away on June 1, 2025.  Robert was a Philadelphia Police Officer for 29 years and then a Philadelphia School Resource Officer for 10 years. He had a love for all animals, especially dogs and his most recent rescue Ollie. He enjoyed spending summers in Wildwood NJ with family and friends. He was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He was generous especially to his grandchildren who would receive WAM (Walking Around Money) at Sunday dinners and special occasions.

Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Hess) for 62 loving years.  Loving father of Christina Schemm (Brian), Robert Cariola (Donna), and Theresa Keppol. Dear Pop-Pop to Michael Dean, Jessica, Rebecca (John), Robert (Melissa) Julianne (Kameron), Brian, Jr., and Andrew; and great grandfather of Peyton, Sienna, Tommy, Eloise, Amelia, Charlotte, Robert, Jude, and Bennett.  He is also survived by his brothers Joseph and Ronald, his sister Nancy., and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Sunday evening, 6:00-8:00 P.M. and Monday morning, 8:30-9:15 A.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. at St. Katherine of Siena Church.  Entombment Forest Hills Cemetery.
