It is with great sadness that the family of Robert R. Ketler, Sr. announce his passing.

Bob, as he was lovingly known to his family and friends, was a hardworking, Patriotic American who proudly served his country. One of his greatest accomplishments during his military service was when he completed jump school to become a Paratrooper.  He was also a devout member of the Catholic Community.

Bob was a great outdoorsman, who appreciated the beauty of nature. He was most happy while mowing grass and planting trees.  His years spent at his log cabin in Benton, PA were some of his fondest. Bob also had a fondness for music and could often be found playing his records.

Bob was a devoted husband and best friend to his loving wife Eileen (nee O'Donnell) for 59 years. He was always eager to reminisce and often said "that they had a wonderful life together".

Bob was also the Proud Father of his 6 children: Colleen Lawrence (John), Eileen Goodman (Dwayne), Chris McCloskey (Mike), Kate Sylvester (Fred), Bob Ketler (Betti) & Maureen Graham (Joe).

In addition to his wife and children, Bob is also survived by his 11 grandchildren (Matt, Dave, Brittany, Steve, Emily, Rob, Megan, Hailey, Sara, Lindsay, Kimmy) and 4 great-grandchildren (Dominick, Chase, Logan and Eli).

As the Patriarch of his family, Bob found joy and laughter surrounded by those he loved.

If there is one thing Bob wanted to be remembered for it was his dedication to his family, as he prided himself on being a great provider.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Monday September 28, 2020 from 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM at St. Dominic Church, 8700 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19136 followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, family would prefer donations to "Wreaths across America" , an honorary organization that Bob along with his family have participated in for the past few years.
