At the age of 85. A Korean War Veteran and a retired Philadelphia firefighter. Loving husband of the late Peggy (nee Cressler). Devoted father of Peggy Dwyer, Robert F. Jr. (Kim), Kathleen Gontz (Tom), Maureen Jacobsen, Nancy Gavigan (Tom), Timothy (Gabi), Patty Ellis (John), and the late Michael J. Dear grandpop of 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Brother of Eleanor McBeth; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday Eve 7-9 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 and Saturday 9-10:30 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church.
