Robert F. Thomas passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023 at the age of 94.  He was the son of the late Joseph & Beatrice Thomas, beloved husband of Anna M. Thomas (Boss), loving father to Lizanne Hales (David), Barbara Jack (Jimmie) and loving grandfather to Jonathan, Lauren (Michael) and Ryan. Brother of Eileen Macht and the late Joseph and Albert Thomas.  He has many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Bob was a US Navy Veteran who served his country from 1947-1955.  After the service, he attended and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in New Haven Connecticut.  He worked and managed various restaurants until 1972.  After working in the food industry, he worked for Lionel Kiddie City where he retired in 1992.

Bob was an active member of St. Katherine of Siena Primrose Senior Club for 30 years and a member of the American Legion, Post #735 Tacony.   He enjoyed his family, especially spending time with his three grandchildren.   Bob was an avid reader, sports enthusiast and enjoyed long walks on the beach in Stone Harbor New Jersey where he spent many seasons with his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Thursday, August 31, 2023 , from 8:45-9:45 A.M. at Christ the King Church, 3252 Chesterfield Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114.  Funeral Mass 9:45 A.M.  Interment 11:30 A.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA
