Robert J. Wiseman passed away November 15, 2023 at the age of 80. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Bernadette (nee Schmitt) and his three children, Robert Jr., David (Cheryl), and Natalie Lyons (Dennis). He also leaves behind his much-loved grandchildren; Bella, Molly, Denny, Bailey and Mia Rose. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Elsie and his brother John. He led a full life starting with his military career in the US Army, college education, twenty-eight years working for Conrail and the joy of his life teaching in the Philadelphia School System for thirteen years. He fought several different kinds of cancer for many years but lost his battle due to an infection. Bob will be greatly missed by all but finally at peace. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday Eve November 20, 2023 6:00-9:00 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 and Tuesday at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA at 9:00 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Interment will be held on Wednesday December 20, 2023 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA at promptly 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 333 Cottman Ave. Phila., PA 19111 would be appreciated.
