Rosemary A. Degan (nee Hornickle), age 87, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Degan and a devoted mother to Michael (Rebecca), Kathleen Clark, and Patricia Degan. Rosemary's heart was full of love for her grandchildren, Meghan DeLuca (Dominic), Kaitlyn Clark (Francis), Matthew C. Degan, and her great-granddaughter, Kaiya DeLuca. She was predeceased by her cherished granddaughter, Rebecca Clark, and her dear godson, Richard Ciecka. She was the sister of the late Ernest Hornickle and the late Richard Hornickle, and sister-in-law of the late Carol Hornickle and the late June Hornickle. Rosemary is also survived by her nephews, Christopher, Timothy, Ernest, and David.

A retired employee of Horizon Financial Bank, Rosemary found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved walking, going to the movies, traveling, vacationing in the mountains or at the shore, and hosting family and friends on holidays and birthdays. But above all, her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren, with whom she shared many happy moments.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114. A Funeral Mass will follow at Christ the King Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Westminster Cemetery.
