Roy E. Egner, age 75, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was the cherished son of the late Roy F. and Dolores "Dolly", and the beloved husband of Sharon (née Hamilton). Roy was a devoted father to the late Roy Egner, Jr. and Jennifer Pratt, and an adoring Pop Pop to Victoria and Daniel Dougherty; he was also the proud great-grandpop of little Danny "Buddy Boy."

Roy is survived by his loving sister Ellen Riggs (Larry), and was preceded in death by his brother William "Billy" Egner. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Lincoln High School, Roy spent most of his career as a skilled concrete finisher. He was an avid hunter who treasured time spent with his family and friends, especially at his mountain house; his favorite place to relax and enjoy a cold beer. Roy loved traveling to Maine and had a deep appreciation for blues music. He never passed up a chance to join in with his harmonica when a band was playing.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 1:30 PM to 3:15 PM, followed by his Service at 3:30 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy's memory may be made to the PKD Foundation, PO Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187—the only U.S. organization solely dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease (PKD).
