On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Sabatino "Sammy" DiMascia passed away peacefully in his home.

Born on November 25, 1936, in Macchia d'Isernia, located in the Province of Isernia, Italy, Sabatino saw the devastation of World War II and came to New York in 1957 seeking the American dream. He fulfilled this dream in Philadelphia where he met his wife, Adele, and raised his family. A devote Catholic and Italian soccer enthusiast, Sammy enjoyed his time being surrounded by family and friends. Sharing memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchild, who affectionally know him as Pop Pop, was his true joy and happiness.

Sabatino will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Adele Carosella DiMascia; children: Ernest (Linda) and Mario (Carol); daughter-in-law: Joann; grandchildren: Anna Marie (Maxwell), Daniel, Maria (Jack), Nicolina and Joseph; great-grandchild: Marcello. He will also be dearly missed by his sister, Rita Ambrosini, brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Ernesto and Nicolina DiMascia and sister Olympia Pirolli.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9th at Our Lady of Good Counsel located at 611 Knowles Avenue Southampton, PA at 10:00AM with a Funeral Mass at 11:30AM followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Holy Redeemer Health PA Hospice.
