He was born in West Philadelphia and resided in Northeast Philadelphia.  He was a retired member of Local 542 Operating Engineers.  Salvatore was one of the founding members and former President of Our Lady of Calvary Athletic Assoc.  Survived by his wife Patricia (nee DiLorenzo); father of James (Barbara), Michael (Keli), Susan, and the late Steven (Lauren).  Proud Pop-Pop of Erika (Joe), John (Hope), Steven (Trisha), Darien and Lucia.  Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Monday, 8-9:45 A.M. at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Rd., Phila., PA 19154.  Funeral Mass 10 A.M.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
