Passed away Dec. 12, 2010, surrounded by his loved ones. Stanley is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Mary (nee Bollendorf) and their daughter Eileen. Loving father of Joanne (Sean Magee), Dennis (Kim Powell) and John. Cherished granddaughters Sarah Kelly and Larisa and Fiona Melinson. Stan is survived by Barbara (Weisback ) Melinson, his siblings James Melinson (Monica), Dennis Melinson (Maryann), Mary Lou Hoelscher and Peggy Sweeney (Lou Rymalowicz), his brother-in-law Bill Bollendorf and several nieces and nephews. Stan grew up in Juniata, attended North Catholic High School, and made a home with Mary in Mayfair where he was the proprietor of Checkerboard Deli, he also worked for Dietz and Watson and finally at SPIN. Stan loved his family, coaching the Mayfair Shamrocks and Jazz Music. We will miss his sense of humor and his elevator face.
