Stanley (Stan) Richard Moroz

December 8, 1940 – February 16, 2026

Stanley “Stan” Richard Moroz, 85, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on February 16, 2026. He was born on December 8, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Stan was a man of many talents and curiosities who lived life on his own terms. A dreamer and artist at heart, he had a lifelong appreciation for creativity and the beauty found in nature. He enjoyed collecting all kinds of interesting and unusual items, often through what he called "junkin" always finding value and stories in the things others discarded. Stan loved working with his hands—whether it was car repairs, woodworking, painting, glass block work or growing tomatoes. He had the spirit of an adventurer and a natural curiosity that carried him through life and into many hobbies and passions like coin collecting, fishing and gemology.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley; his mother, Mildred; his cousins, Mickey, Margie, and Joanie; and his nephew, Steven.

Stan is survived by his sister, Loretta; his daughter, Rachel; and his son-in-law, Wayne. He was a proud grandfather to Dezaye, Denayah, Tyson, Dillon, and Grace, who knew him as "Papa Stan." He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Gary, Irene, Barbara, Debbie, and Brian, along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Stan will be remembered for his creativity, kindness, and love for his family. His legacy continues in the lives that he touched and the love he passed down to those who knew him.

While Stan endured many difficulties throughout his life, he always held fast to his deep catholic faith and love for his Savior. One of his last journal entries stated "Quest for glory. To meet Jesus, Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ) face to face."

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as we wait to be reunited in heaven.
