Stephen retired in 2011 from the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, where he worked for many years.  He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Loving husband of Linda (nee Schleinkofer).  Beloved father of Brandon Primavera (Kathleen), Matthew Primavera (Kimberly), Jillian Cole (James), Diane and Darlene Bednarik.  Pop-Pop of Olivia, Brandon, Jr., Jimmy, Anthony, Johnny, Ryan, Matthew, Jr., and Cole.  Preceded in death by his parents John and Stephanie (nee Gasperec) Bednarik.  Also survived by his sister Stephanie Talunas and nephew Walter "WT" (Mayra) Talunas.
