Stephen R. Tranovich succumbed to the Covid virus and passed away peacefully on August 5 ^th , 2020. Born in Reading PA, former resident of Cinnaminson NJ and current resident of Bonita Springs, Florida. He was a graduate of Shillington H.S. in Reading, PA and Drexel University PA. A US Navy veteran and founder of SRT Motor Freight trucking company and expanded to American Trans Freight. He always put God and family first. He enjoyed travel, golfing, boating, and the Pocono Lake house. His kindness and generosity to others are the traits most remembered. He is the beloved husband of 68 years to Marie C. Tranovich (nee Evans).  Predeceased by his loving daughter, Cindy Tranovich. Loving father of Karen Fitz-Patrick (Scott), Lori Tranovich, Tom Tranovich (Beverly), Milissa Tranovich (the late Ugyen). Grandad to Sean, Kelly, Erin Fitz-Patrick, Alyssa and LynnMarie Tranovich, Stephen and Leah Tranovich, great grandad to Cadence, Noah, Lynx and Onyx.  Dear brother of James Tranovich (Peg), Edward Tranovich (Molly), and the late Robert Tranovich (the late Lois); and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning, August 29 ^th at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia, PA from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 103 4 ^th Street, Riverton NJ 08077, followed by his interment at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson NJ.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Center for the Arts Bonita Springs, where the Stephen R. Tranovich Scholarship Fund has been created to award a scholarship each year, in his honor, to a student in need.
