Susan C. Wood

Susan C. Wood passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on February 23, 1948, in Philadelphia, Susan lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and quiet strength. She was the daughter of Charles and Catherine Geisler, and throughout her life, she carried forward the values of compassion, faith, and service that were instilled in her from a young age.

Susan was a devoted friend and professional, known for her unwavering love and support for those around her. She was a proud member of St. Hubert High School Class of 1966. She worked as an administrative professional with the Woodhaven Center for many years, where she was respected for her hard work, integrity, and caring personality. She always told stories about her clients and how much they meant to her. Beyond her work, Susan found joy in going to lunch with her friends, going to shows, and spending time with her family. She had a special gift for making others feel welcomed and cared for.

She is survived by her brothers Charles (Rosemary) and Thomas (Diane), as well as her nephews Thomas (Patricia) and Christopher (Tara), her grandnieces Madelyn, Gabriella, and Isabella, and her grandnephew Nolan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Catherine.

Susan will be remembered for her generosity and deep love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared so freely.

A service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery on April 6. 2026 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Merakey Foundation, reflecting Susan’s generous spirit and dedication to those she spent so much time serving.
