Teresa passed away peacefully on April 23, 2016 at the age of 89 in Stuart, Florida. She was born to the late Stanislaus Marciniak and Anastazia Marciniak on April 17, 1927. Teresa was the youngest of four sisters and attended schools in the Northeast area of Philadelphia.

She was part of the greatest generation and a patriot. She witnessed the great depression, several wars, along with untold personal sufferings and blessings. These life experiences gave her a fun loving personality whose enthusiasm would light up a room. She loved to laugh and had the biggest heart. Teresa would give anything she could to someone in need and often did to family, friends and strangers alike.

Mrs. Metzgar was a loving wife, partner and best friend to Jess M. Metzgar, her husband of 10 years. He was the love of her life and was mother to their beloved son, Jess Mark Metzgar. She was married in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Miami Beach, Florida.

Teresa was also a grandmother to Jamie, Julia and Jess C. Metzgar. She was so proud of all her grandchildren and loved to converse about them to anyone that shared the conversation.

Teresa Metzgar was a dedicated patriot, working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Department of Justice from 1962 upon her retirement in 1997.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Jess Mark and Tunde Metzgar, along with her grandchildren Jamie, Julie and Jess C. Metzgar; sister, Mrs. Wanda Ryskalchick.

Teresa left a legacy of love, integrity, hope, laughter and kindness in our lives. She has forever made our lives blessed for those she touched.

Where there is faith, there is love.

Where there is peace, there is God.
Where there is God, there is no need.

Relatives and friend are invited to her viewing on Friday 5-8 PM and Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Katherine of Siena Church at 10 AM. Interment St. Dominic Cemetery.
