Thomas E. Collins passed away on April 3, 2026. Beloved husband of Annette (née Johnson). Loving father of Johnathan, the late Thomas, Jr., the late Matthew, and stepfather of Denise Foley (Kevin). Cherished Pop to Johnathan, Jr., Faith, Kevin, Sean, and Shealyn, and Great Pop to Maeve, Teagan, Florence, and Arthur.

Dear brother of Francis (the late Marie), William (the late Lillian), Marguerite Edwards (the late Jerry), Joseph (Eleanor), Claire McCann (the late Edward), Helen Yaworski (Bob), Dan (Cathy), and Catherine (Dennis Stewart). Tom is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A proud United States Army veteran, Tom served his country honorably during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Following his military service, Tom dedicated nearly 40 years of hard work as a longshoreman with Local 1291. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his trade.

Outside of work, Tom was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. In his spare time, he loved fishing, relaxing with a good crossword puzzle, and creating cherished memories by camping out in the backyard with his grandchildren as they were growing up.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114) from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by his Funeral Service. Interment private.
