Thomas M. Ewald, Sr. passed away after a long, hard fought battle on July 25, 2018 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of 42 years to Mary Jane (nee Sugden). Loving father of Thomas Jr. (Carolyn), Joseph (Lauren), Ryan (Katlynne), and Kyle (Samantha). Poppy of Catherine, Elisabeth, Tommy, Joey, Luke, and four more on the way, whom he was very excited about meeting. Dear brother of Harry (Kathy), and Mary Theresa. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Mary Theresa Ewald, and his twin brother James. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Tom was a former employee of Amtrak. He loved coaching and volunteering his time at OMTL and Holy Terrors. He enjoyed playing sports with his kids and grandkids and spending summer vacations in Wildwood. Tom was a huge Philadelphia Sports fan, especially the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday Eve 7-9 PM and Tuesday 8:30-10:00 AM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 at St. Matthew's Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
