Thomas McKinney, 84, of Ireland, passed away on January 23, 2024, in Phila., PA. He was born on March 6, 1939. Thomas was a kind and helpful man who was well-known for his love of dogs and willingness to lend a hand to his neighbors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Thomas is survived by his stepson, Bob Helmar, and his grandson, Bobby Helmar Jr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Helmar. Thomas had a distinguished military career and was proud to have served in the Ireland Defense Forces and British Armed Forces. His dedication to the royal family earned him commendable awards. In his professional life, Thomas worked as a locksmith, utilizing his skills to assist countless individuals in need. He was known for his expertise in his craft. A ceremony to honor Thomas's life will be held at Burns Funeral Home, 1428 E. Columbia Ave. Phila., PA in Fishtown on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 PM.
