Thomas Rodgers, 89, passed away peacefully July 6, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family. Born on December 24, 1937, Thomas lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and a generous spirit that touched everyone he met.

Thomas was known for his booming laugh, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. His warmth and friendliness made him a cherished friend to many, and he leaves behind countless memories shared with neighbors, friends, and loved ones.

At the center of Thomas's life was his beloved wife, Margaret, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and enduring commitment. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; his children, Maryellen (James) Stauble, Cathyann (Chris) Calabrese, and Kevin (Kathy) Rodgers; his cherished grandchildren, James, Matthew, Melanie (Brian), Christopher (Rebecca), Kevin, and Carly; and his adored great-grandchildren, Peyton, Teagan, Emersyn, Shae, Trey, and a great-grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law James, his siblings Joe, Betty, Billy, and Michael.

Thomas also enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Whether he was gathered around a table playing cards with neighbors and friends or enjoying a meal and conversation at his favorite diner, he treasured every opportunity to be with the people he loved.

Thomas will be remembered for his kindness, his tireless work ethic, his infectious laugh, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday, July 10, 2026, 9:30 AM St. Matthew Church, (lower church) 3000 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Thomas' memory to The Eagles Autism Foundation, One Nova Care Way, Philadelphia, PA 19145
