Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later joined the Philadelphia Police Dept. in 1957, retiring in 1983 as Sergeant. Mr. Wixted then went on to work for the Naval Aviation Supply Depot before fully retiring in 1994. Mr. Wixted is survived by his wife Rita (nee Ferry), children Thomas, James (Lynn), Jean, and Patricia Magill (Robert); 6 grandchildren, Erin, Michael, Shannon, Sean, Brandon, and Rachel. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday, 8:30-10:15 A.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. (S. of Grant Ave.). Funeral Mass 11 A.M. at St. Jerome Church. Interment Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
