Obituary

Passed away peacefully on November 9th with her granddaughter Danielle and staff of Deer Meadows hospice unit by her side. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Clawges, her daughter Julie Loux, and her son, Elmer K (Moon) Clawges. She will be lovingly remembered and extremely missed by her granddaughter Danielle Dougherty and her great-grandchildren Haley Boyce and Dillon Dougherty. She is also survived by Kristen Tacconelli (Anthony) , Eric Clawges, and Victoria and Anthony Tacconelli.

Ursula was born in Berlin, Germany and moved between orphanages in Germany and Poland. She lived through Nazi Germany and met her husband during World War II. She came to America in 1962 with her two children, and taught herself English. They settled in Roxborough for a few years before moving to Academy Gardens. Before becoming ill, Ursula spent most of her time finding something to build, planting in her garden, cleaning her pool, and walking the Franklin Mills Mall.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Monday November 16, 2020 BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila. PA 19114 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer's Research in her memory.
