At the age of 79. Loving husband of 55 years to the late Wilma (nee Kelly). Devoted father of Verne, III (Jeanne) and Colleen. Dear pop-pop of Gregory, Daniel and Maura. Brother of Joan Schaffer and the late Rose, Wallace and Walter. Also survived by a large extended loving family. Mr. Shuttleworth was a Korean War veteran serving proudly in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Missouri. He served the City of Phila. as a police officer for 27 years. Verne and Wilma were proprietors of the Golden Eagle Tavern for 18 years. He was also a Mason and a member of the Shriners Club. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday Eve 7-9 P.M. BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. (So. of Grant Ave.) and also Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. followed by his Service 11 A.M. Int. N. Cedar Hill Cem.
