Vicente Issac Cordova of Philadelphia passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2026, with his family and friends by his side.
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Vicente came to the United States of America at the age of four. He graduated from Lincoln High School and was working as a manager at Whole Foods, in Philadelphia.
Vicente was a devoted father to his son Salvador, whose mother is Vivian. He was a beloved son to Alfredo and Josefa Cordova. A loving brother to Alfredo (Carly), Alexandra (Micheal), Fernando “Tito”, Rita (Kevin) as well as a dear uncle to Atticus, Lazarus, Conan and Veronica.
Vicente had many passions in life. He was an avid reader, enjoyed playing the guitar, and had a great love for soccer. This summer he and his son had tickets to attend the World Cup in Philadelphia. His love for travel, led him on many adventurous road trips with his son.
Vicente was a funny, smart, determined and kind man. Time spent with his son, family and friends was very valuable to him. He made so many wonderful memories throughout his life, that will be cherished for years to come.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at Beechwood Cemetery.
