Vincent DePaul Lewis, Jr. passed away suddenly December 20, 2025, in Fort Myers, FL. Born in Philadelphia to Vincent DePaul Lewis, Sr. and Agnes M. (McGlinchey) Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Kathianne M. Lewis. Survived by his beloved wife Mary Rita (née Lyons), and devoted father to sons Matthew Vincent (Sara) of Ottsville, PA, Colin Vincent (Kateryna) of Ft Myers, FL and Kyle Vincent of St Augustine, FL, his twin sister Denise Lynch (Joseph) of Montgomeryville, PA and loving Pop Pop Vince to Shane Matthew & Walter Matthew Lewis; Max Alexander & Emma Hope Lewis and beloved pup Violet.
Grandparents included: Harry and Agnes (Gordon) Lewis. Thomas and Katherine (Herens) McGlinchey.
He was lovingly remembered by the Lewis and Lyons families. Included are Shannon and Mike Domanico, Kiera and Joe Spinks; Kathleen Lyons Thomer, William and Susan Lyons, Celeste and Dave Rowan and Thomas Lyons; Lauren and Brian Power, Daniel and Nicole Thomer and Kevin Thomer; Vicki Sue and Jeff Cifone; Lisa and William Lyons. Courtney, Drew, Maggie and Kylie Rowan including many grand nieces and nephews.
Vince graduated from St. Jerome School 1971; Father Judge High School 1975; and Temple University. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Rita Lyons on February 21, 1981. He grew up in Northeast Philadelphia; A gifted and dedicated athlete who played football at Crispin Gardens AC, the Little Quakers, and Father Judge HS, was a swimmer and diver at Winchester Swim Club, Father Judge HS, and Temple University. Sports were a lifelong passion for Vince, reflecting his discipline, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
Like his own father, Vince passed on a strong work ethic to his three sons. They have grown to be happy, successful and kind young men. Vince worked with his father and Uncle Joe at the family-owned Gulf Station. Later he owned Lewis Beer & Lottery with his dad! He then became an accomplished teamster school bus driver for twenty years. In later years, Vince made his home in Southwest Florida, where he enjoyed a fun, sunny, and warm pace of life. He remained closely connected to his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life Saturday, January 17, 2026, 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
