Walter J. Armbruster

Walter J. Armbruster age 85, of Philadelphia, PA, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Born on January 19, 1941, Walter lived a life rooted in faith, family, and he was a man whose warmth, kindness, and devotion left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Walter was the cherished husband of Barbara Armbruster (nee Rotunno), with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. He was the loving father of Walter Armbruster (Debra), Joseph Armbruster (Susan), Lewis Armbruster (Marlene), and Robert Armbruster (Susan). He was the proud grandfather of Ashley, Jacquline, Lauren, Kimberly, Joseph, Jo-Hannah, Sarah, John, Halley, and Emily. He was also the doting great-grandfather of Christian, Sloane, Luke, Chase, Payton, Nora, and John. He is survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, September 29, 2026, 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM.
