Wanda M. McMonigle "Sandy" (nee Milzrek) passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. McMonigle.

Sandy was a devoted and loving mother to her four children: Theresa Kimble (Jim), Linda Costello (Robert), Mary McMonigle (Bob), and Sandra Shinn. She was also a proud and cherished "Mom Mom" to her grandchildren: Maureen (Matthew), Stephanie, Robert, Grace, and Brett.

Sandy was a passionate educator who earned her master's degree and dedicated 20 years of service as a special education teacher with the School District of Philadelphia. She was a strong advocate for those she served and will be remembered for her kindness, patience, and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of her students.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 8:00 to 9:15 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sandy's memory to Special Olympics Pennsylvania , 2570 Blvd of the Generals, Suite 124, Norristown, PA 19403.
