William Anderson "Amos" passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 17, 2024, at the age of 96. A lifelong resident of Fishtown, William was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Mace).
He is survived by his loving children: Phyllis Wichert (Thomas), Cindy Hudicek (the late William), Edythe Hoffman (the late Richard), Janice Anderson (Frank), and William Anderson (Maureen). He was also predeceased by his cherished daughter, Diane O'Brien. William took immense pride in his large family, which includes 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sister, Rose "Dolly" Benson (the late Albert).
A proud Teamster, Amos dedicated many years to his work and was deeply involved in his community. He was a passionate soccer coach, sharing his love of the game with countless young athletes. In his leisure time, he enjoyed trips to the casino and cherished moments spent with his family, who were his greatest joy.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Burns Funeral Home, 1428 E. Columbia Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19125, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Interment will be private.
