He was a decorated U.S. Marine who served two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed working at the Department of Veterans Affairs, as a Senior Veterans Service Representative specializing in helping Vietnam Veterans. He is survived by his wife Eileen (nee Higgins); children Andrew (Elizabeth), Monica Fochtman (Sean), Kathleen Russella (Darren) and Amy Carroll (Ryan); 9 loving grandchildren; and sister Maryanne Baus (Ammon), sister-in-law Kathleen Anderson and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday morning, 9-10:45 A.M. at St. Anne's Church (upper church), 2328 E. Lehigh Ave., Phila., PA 19125. Funeral Mass 11 A.M. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to St. Baldrick's Pediatric Cancer Foundation, 1333 S.
