William T. McKenna, D.O. of Langhorne, Pa., passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 83.

Dr. McKenna was born and raised in Port Richmond, Philadelphia. He graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy and The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was a founding physician at both Delaware Valley Hospital in Bristol, Pa. and St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa. Dr. McKenna practiced family medicine in Lower Makefield for 30 years. He practiced medicine with dedication and compassion. He was loved, trusted, and respected by family, friends, colleagues, and patients alike.

Dr. McKenna is survived by his loving wife, Marie A. (Blair) McKenna; his seven sons and daughters and their spouses, Thomas and Kathleen McKenna, Marie Larkin, Julia and Patrick Jones, Kathleen and Charles Rauchut, William and Cindy McKenna, Robert and Christine McKenna, Kevin and Christy McKenna; twenty grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Smith; his brother, Thomas Jankiewicz; and loved cousins, Michael McKenna and Dorothy McKeever.

Calling hours will be 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Road, Levittown, Pa. Mass of Catholic burial to be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, at St. Ephrem Roman Catholic Church, 5340 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa., followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa.
