William A. "Billy" O'Brien, age 47, passed away suddenly on June 20, 2025.

Born on August 12, 1977, Billy went home free with the Lord on June 20, 2025.

Billy was a proud DC21 Union Bridge Painter with Local 2011, known for his strength, loyalty, and love for the simple things in life. He was the devoted father of William David John O'Brien, who he loved beyond measure and proudly watched serve his country in the United States Air Force.

Billy was the beloved son of William J. and Theresa O'Brien, loving brother of Erin O'Brien-Hofmann (Leo), and the cherished life partner of Lillian Leary. He was a proud uncle to Leo, Mickey, and Rudy, and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him deeply.

He had a deep appreciation for the open road — whether behind the wheel of a car, or on his motorcycle — and found joy in the little things most might overlook. Billy lived with quiet intensity and a deep loyalty to those he loved. He moved to the beat of his own drum, with an unorthodox way of doing life. He embraced life unapologetically, always proud of who he was.

Above all, Billy loved the Lord. He believed with all his heart that God had his back—through every high and low. He found deep spiritual connection and joy in the worship and messages of Bethel Church, which uplifted and inspired him throughout his journey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:15 A.M. at The Fountain Room, 2980 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 A.M. to honor and celebrate Billy's life and legacy.
