Beloved husband of 64 years to the love of his life Dory (nee Trautz), preceded in death by his son William, devoted father of Denise Hamer (Robert), Gary Palmer (the late Karen), and Linda Tidy (David); also survived by 7 grandchildren William (Lisa), Jeffrey (Robyn), Nicole, Megan, Rachael (Justin), David, and Lynn (Bill) 6 great grandchildren William, Marisa, Ellianna, Liam, Justin, and James, and his sisters Elsie and Grace. A Navy Veteran of WWII, Bill was an employee for over 37 years at U of P. He was also fondly known as "the mayor of Torresdale Avenue". Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday 9AM Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave. followed by his Funeral Service 11AM. Interment East Cedar Hill Cemetery.
